As the name suggests, Find My iPhone is a feature that allows you to locate your lost or stolen phone.
However, turning it off can be a problem if you don’t have the password to do so. Luckily, there are several ways to do it.
1. Change the DNS servers
Your iPhone uses DNS servers to help your device determine the hostname for a website, which is how it can find and load it. The DNS server you use may impact the speed and security of your internet connection, and you can change it for improved performance and reliability.
The first step is to open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad and tap Wi-Fi. This will open a panel where you can update the DNS servers used by your device.
In the DNS panel, you can enter the IP addresses of the Google Public DNS, OpenDNS or any other third-party DNS server that you prefer to use. You can also add multiple DNS servers to optimize the performance and reliability of your DNS settings on your iOS device.
Once you have changed your DNS servers, you can return to the previous settings if any website fails to load. However, you should note that each Wi-Fi network has its own DNS server setting, so if you have several devices that connect to the same network, you will need to repeat this process for every one.
If you want to use a different DNS server on your device than the one that came with it, you can configure it manually using the information ‘i’ icon next to each wifi connection in the settings menu. This is only possible for wifi connections, not cellular data.
2. Delete iCloud account
When you delete an iCloud account on an iPhone, all of the data that is stored in iCloud is deleted. This includes all of your iCloud photos, videos and files that are on iCloud as well as any subscriptions you have signed up for with this account.
Apple recommends that before you delete an iCloud account, you perform several actions to protect your personal information. For example, backup any files you have uploaded to iCloud or downloaded through the App Store before you remove the account. You should also check to see if any of your active subscriptions have been cancelled or transferred to another Apple ID.
If you decide to remove your iCloud account from an iPhone, it’s important to be sure that all of the data you have in iCloud is backed up to a computer before you do so. You’ll need to make sure that all of your contacts, calendars, documents and photos are backed up on another device before you delete your iCloud account on an iPhone or iPad.
To get started, open iCloud and go to Settings. If you’re asked to enter a password, you can use a random number instead of your actual password. This is useful if you don’t remember your password.
You can also contact Apple Support to request that they delete your iCloud account and they will provide you with an access code. Once you have this code, you can then follow the instructions to complete the deletion process.
Generally, it takes around one week for Apple to verify that you are the account owner and not someone else trying to use your iCloud account. During this time, you will not be able to login to your account.
3. Turn off FMI
Find My iPhone is a useful feature that allows you to track and locate your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch. It can be a real lifesaver when you lose or forget your phone. This feature can also be used if you’re selling your device or if you’re concerned that someone might be stalking you.
The feature is a bit tricky to turn off, but there are ways to do it without the need for an iCloud password. For example, there’s a security loophole in iOS 7 that makes it possible to disable the Find My iPhone feature quickly and easily.
To do this, open the Settings app on your device and tap the iCloud slider. Then, quickly select the Delete Account option.
After doing this, the iCloud account should be deleted and Find My iPhone should be disabled without the need for a password. However, it may take a few attempts before you can get it to work.
Another way to disable the Find My iPhone feature is by changing the DNS servers on your device. This can be done from the Settings app, but it will only work if your iPhone is connected to WiFi.
When you’re connected to a WiFi network, go to the network’s Settings and click on the i icon next to it. This will launch a panel where you can change the DNS servers to one that’s compatible with your device.
4. Remove Apple ID
Whether you’re selling your iPhone or just want to remove an Apple ID from a used device, there are several ways to do it without needing to go through the trouble of asking the previous owner for their password. The easiest solution is to use a third-party software that’s compatible with both macOS and Windows computers.
Another solution to get rid of an Apple ID is to sign out of your iCloud account on your iOS device. This will remove any personal information from the account and allow you to use a new one. It’s important to remember that removing your iCloud account will also wipe out the data on your iOS device, which includes any purchased apps or content from the App Store or iTunes.
If you don’t have the password to remove your Apple ID, you can also try signing out of iCloud from other apps on your iPhone. However, this is a risky method because you might lose your personal information.
The best way to remove an Apple ID from an iPhone is to use a tool such as BuhoUnlocker or LockAway. These tools can be downloaded for free and work with both macOS and Windows computers.
When using these tools, you will need to connect your iPhone to the computer via a USB cable. Then, you will need to select “Unlock Apple ID” mode.
